More friends in Paris….
Last night we met up with Alan Hall and enjoyed a classic French dinner at the L’Epi D’or restaurant down near the Louvre. And then walked over to see the pyramid lit at night – it is quite spectacular with all the beautiful old buildings spotlighted and the pyramid sparkling in the centre. Whatever the critics say – and no doubt they say plenty about mixing old and new, it certainly makes a statement.
So walked along to the Tuilleries metro station – 11pm by now, and the trains were as crowded as peak hour – public transport and the metro system are certainly well patronised and so efficient in Paris.
Ian just cooking risotto – blackberry and duck, for lunch then a walk along the river with Tim and Mandy.
